A heart set corner to corner with stones that do not match. Emerald beside turquoise, ruby beside pale champagne, a large brilliant cut against a small opaque black. Different cuts, different sizes, different heights. The raw gold edge is left visible all the way around, as though the piece had been poured rather than made.

Every other ring in this collection has a symmetry to it. This one does not, and that is the design. Kintsugi is the reference everyone reaches for — the Japanese repair that fills a crack with gold rather than concealing it. This is the version where she does not reassemble the original object at all. She keeps every fragment, including the ones that do not fit, and makes something that was never on the plan.

Every heart is set by hand, so the arrangement of stones differs on every ring. Yours will not match the photograph exactly. That is the piece working as intended.
