Growth doesn't stop because it's dark.
Pointed gold-plated leaves rising behind a large faceted black stone, cut so it takes light in and gives very little of it back. The leaves are worked individually and sit at different heights.
Most of what a plant does happens at night. Cells divide, roots extend, water moves — the visible part, the photosynthesis everyone learned about, is only half the shift. The other half happens in the dark with no observable evidence at all.
This is the ring for the stretch nobody congratulates her for. The months where nothing looks like progress from the outside and all of the actual work is happening.
Sits high, with real presence. The black stone reads almost matte in low light and sharp under a lamp.
