The Riverbed

Everything that settled, in the order it arrived.

A wide ribbed band carrying three stones side by side: a pale cream, a spotted grey, and a deep blue-grey. Each is bezel-set at a slightly different height, so the row is level without being uniform.

A riverbed is a record. Silt, stone and grit lay down in the order the water brought them, and a geologist can read the sequence back like a sentence. Nothing in it was arranged. It is simply what stayed after everything else moved on.

This is the ring for the stage of standing still, and it argues for it: what she has now was not chosen in one decision. It accumulated, quietly, while she was doing something else.

The widest band we make. It covers most of the finger and wears more like a cuff than a ring.
