A long almond face, flat to the hand, worked all over in fine granulation so the surface reads as texture rather than shine. No stone. Nothing to catch on anything.
The almond shape is one of the oldest ways of drawing an eye, and it turns up on doorways, amulets and coins across cultures that never met. Half-closed, it means the same thing everywhere: awake, and choosing not to say so.
This is the ring for the stage where she stops arguing. Not because she has given up the position — because she has stopped needing the other person to agree with it.
