A compact domed oval, pavé-set edge to edge in dark blue and near-black stones with gold showing between them. No opening, no detail, nothing to read.

Some protective objects work by display. This one works by being sealed. A river stone has no seam, no soft face, nothing to get purchase on — it has simply been worn down to the shape that water cannot argue with.

It is the ring for the stage where she stops offering an opening. There's nothing hostile about it. There's just nothing on the surface for anyone to work with.

The smallest piece in Reclaiming, and the one most likely to be worn every day.
