Smoky quartz is ordinary quartz that sat near natural radiation in the ground for a very long time. The color is not an addition. It is a record of exposure — the same stone, altered by what it was next to.

This is the ring for the stage where she has stopped wanting to go back to who she was before. The clarity is still there. It just isn't clear in the same way.
